Delete your SPECT account
How to delete your account and data in SPECT, the app by Stanley Park Creative Inc., on the web, iPhone, iPad and Android, and what happens when you do.
Last updated
1.Before you start
Cancel a paid plan first, and save anything you want to keep.
- If you pay for a plan, cancel it first. In the web app, go to Plans & billing, then Manage billing. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription by itself.
- Deleted accounts can't be restored, so keep a copy of anything you want to keep.
- Removing the app from your phone doesn't delete your account.
2.Delete your account in the app
The fastest way. It takes about a minute.
- Sign in to SPECT on the web, iPhone, iPad or Android.
- Open your profile: the Profile tab on a phone, or the account menu on a wider screen.
- Choose Delete account.
- Enter your password, type DELETE and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away. Removing your files from storage can take a little longer to finish in the background.
3.Can't sign in? Ask us to delete it
Send a request through our contact form.
Use our contact form, choose Delete my account and write from the email address on your account. We'll confirm the request comes from you, delete your account and its data within 30 days, and let you know when it's done.
4.What gets deleted
Your account, your workspace and everything in it.
- Your account: name, email address and sign-in details.
- Your workspace and every SPECT in it, including modules, settings and analytics.
- Images, audio, video and files you uploaded.
- Your learning progress, answers and enrollments, including copies in other people's course analytics.
- Your memberships, access to SPECTs shared with you, and group memberships.
- Your sign-in session and account preferences.
5.What we keep, and for how long
A few records we need for billing, security and other people's courses.
- Billing records, such as payments, invoices and subscription history, for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Invitation records you sent or received (email address, role, sender and status).
- Content you created in other people's workspaces, which belongs to those workspaces.
- Finished group results, which stay with the course without your name or email.
- Technical logs kept by our hosting providers for a limited time, typically about 30 days.
